EKONID held Online Roundtables to support companies during COVID-19

In order to support its members with latest business-relevant information in times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID) has conducted webinars aiming at providing guidance and practical advice with regard to the latest regulations issued by the Indonesian government.

On April 30, 2020, EKONID launched its first Online Roundtable titled "Fiscal Stimulus for Taxpayers by the Indonesian Government during the COVID-19 Pandemic". The webinar, held in cooperation with KPMG Advisory Indonesia, was attended by 28 participants from 20 different companies.

Mr. Zwaan, Head of International Tax at KPMG Advisory Indonesia, acted as expert speaker in the roundtable. In his presentation, he introduced the different tax incentives provided by the Indonesian government amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and informed about how taxpayers can obtain these incentives.

A few days later, on May 6, 2020, EKONID held its second Online Roundtable, titled "Governmental Manpower Policies in Indonesia during the COVID-19 Pandemic - How to accommodate them in your company structure " and realized in cooperation with Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT) Law Firm.

A total of 31 participants from 21 different companies attended this roundtable. Mr. Narendra Adiyasa, Partner of Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT) Law Firm, presented the latest manpower regulations and topics to be considered by companies in Indonesia as well as practical recommendations for their staff management during the pandemic.
