For our Business Development Department, we are currently looking for a
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
(Position for an Indonesian national)
What to expect
The Business Development Department is a service unit within EKONID. We plan and implement export promotion projects on behalf of the German government and serve individual company clients with a range of business support services. Our primary tasks and services include:
- Provision of market information based on company inquiries
- Development of market studies for company and institutional clients
- Individual Business Partner Search
As part of our team, you would be implementing projects independently while communicating and working closely with clients during projects as well as with local industry players and business associations. Additionally you would support the team in organizing trade missions, which includes site visits, B2B matchmaking activities as well as conference management. EKONID also engages in international donor funded projects, hence you would also have to opportunity to contribute to the project concept development, proposal writing and subsequently the implementation of these projects.
The ideal candidate (f/m) has the following profile:
- Education: Minimum a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in economics, business administration or international management / trade
- Professional experience: At least 3 years of working experience in one of the following institutions or companies: chamber of commerce, industry association or trade support organization, business consultancy company or industry corporation
- Knowledge: A broad knowledge in Indonesian export-import regulations as well as regulations concerning major industries e.g. renewable energy, manufacturing, environmental technology, healthcare and F&B, e-commerce would be an advantage.
- Languages: A proficient command in verbal and written English is essential, knowledge of the German language would be an advantage
- Required technical skills: Proficient in standard MS-Office software applications and at least a general understanding of CRM and project management software
- Soft skills: Conceptual and analytical thinking as well as writing and presentation skills are essential requirements. As are motivation, flexibility and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
