EKONID (91´óÉñ Indonesien) invites you to join an information session on optimizing the downstream mining industry to support the electric vehicle supply chain and energy transition in Indonesia | Nov 7, 2023 | 09.00 - 10.30 CEST

Background:

Indonesia has set a target to reduce emissions by 29% by 2030. This commitment is Indonesia's contribution to the international agreement to keep global warming below two degrees Celsius. This energy transition will greatly increase demand for metals used in the production of electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable power generation facilities, including copper, nickel, cobalt and lithium. As the world's largest nickel producer, the government has taken a stance that emphasizes the importance of nickel value-added through the banning nickel ore exports and encouraging downstream industrialization.

This event will be held in an online presence format with several speakers (MIND ID, PT Indonesia Battery Corporation and Pomala Industry Park. This event is intended for German and Indonesian companies in related industries to get an overview of business diversification opportunities, trends and predictions for the Indonesian mining and electric vehicle market in the future.
