With its roughly 260 million citizen and a yearly GDP growth rate of five percent Indonesia is one of the most dynamic countries in Southeast Asia. So far industrial sectors with low added value like textile industry, agricultural branch and the manufacturing sector are dominating the Indonesian economy. This should change in the future due to the industry-roadmap that has been published by the government: The automobile- and electronics sector as well as the chemical industry are in the center of this strategy. One important step on this way was the establishment of the first Indonesian car manufacturers, which produces pickup trucks. Other than that the country lacks of efficient high-tech technologies. That is why Indonesia is dependent on the import of machinery and semi-finished products from developed countries. Due to this reason there is a large market potential for German manufacturers of capital goods and suppliers in the next years.

In a cooperation between the IHK and the WTSH there are free individual consultations. These meetings are expected to take 45 minutes each. We can also visit you at your office for the consultation. If there is a very high demand for individual consultations the meetings will take place at the office of the IHK Kiel.
Next to an agent of the IHK Kiel there will also be a representative of the WTSH that will inform the participant about possibilities about the foreign trade promotion opportunities of the Schleswig-Holstein Business Center.
