Business delegation to Germany for Indonesian public and private stakeholders 19 – 23 September 2022
Bremen | Hamburg
Background:
Germany applies a five-stage waste hierarchy: prevention, reuse preparation, recycling, alternative forms of recovery (particularly for energy generation), and disposal. In terms of technology and systems, waste management in Germany is among the most advanced in the world. Almost no other country recycles as much as Germany, which recycles 90 percent of its waste. Germany has also begun the transition to digital waste processing. As part of Circular Economy 4.0, more and more German businesses and municipalities are implementing smart waste management. Aside from minimizing noise and pollution, smart waste management will save time and energy and provide many other advantages.
