EKONID Info Session on IKN usher in opportunities for potential collaboration

26/05/2023

On May 25, 2023, EKONID held an Info Session to introduce the Procurement Process for Indonesia's New Capital City Nusantara (IKN Nusantara). More than 30 company representatives from across Indonesia attended the event to learn more about the US$33 billion government project.

Selly Indrawati, Head of Business Development and Engineering Industry Investment at PT. Bina Karya, the state-owned company that oversees all incoming investment into the new capital city, explained comprehensively the strategic sectors in which companies may have greater involvement towards building the new capital city.

PT Bina Karya itself operates under the ownership of the IKN authority, the government agency responsible for the development of Nusantara, another with which the IKN is known.

Meanwhile, another keynote speaker, Antonius Lambok Sihombing, the Deputy Director at National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP), talked about the regulation relevant to business activities in IKN. He highlighted how Indonesian government has executed significant transformation for easing business barriers at IKN.

We would like to thank our Business and Development Department for making this event possible and for helping business actors, government agencies, development companies, and other stakeholders to build and maintain connections.
