The project aims to expand the standardized European EnergyManager training program to Indonesia and, ultimately, strengthen Indonesia鈥檚 capacity in combating the effects of climate change through innovative energy management practices.
On March 18, 2022, the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID), in collaboration with the Swiss-German University (SGU), officially opened the EUREM Energy Management training program. Supported by the European EnergyManager (EUREM), the event was held virtually and was presided by Hardy Hoffman, Head of the Training and Education Department at EKONID, as well as Feliana Santoso, Rector of SGU.
EUREM is a standardized training of further education that enhances the skills of technical experts in the field of energy efficiency improvement. The EUREM program is offered in about 30 countries and covers nearly all energy-relevant issues which can arise in companies. This year's program in Indonesia will be held from the end of March to June, 2022, and will be carried out by eight experienced instructors from the SGU.
The training that will be provided by EKONID and SGU will have the participation of number of companies from a rather wide spectrum of industries, starting from the petrochemical and mining industries to even the food and beverages industry.
鈥淚 am extremely proud that we could organize this important training in Indonesia,鈥 Mr. Hardy Hoffman. 鈥淸The training module] is quite comprehensive. I really have to tell the participants that you are going to do a lot of work. But it is worth it. It is really worth it.鈥
