In the effort to maintain the progress the Jakarta government has achieved in curbing COVID-19 infections via the implementation of PSBB in the area, the city administration has moved to toughen sanctions for violators of PSBB rules.
The number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities in Jakarta, the area worst hit by the disease, is slowing down. In the effort to continue reducing the infections, as well as to provide legal certainty and ensure an effective implementation of the PSBB campaign within the area, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued Regulation of the Governor of the Province of DKI Jakarta Number 41 of 2020 on the Implementation of Sanctions for Breaches of PSBB in Relation to the Mitigation of COVID-19 within the鈥疨rovince of DKI Jakarta鈥(鈥Pergub DKI Jakarta 41/2020鈥), which came into force on April 30, 2020.
